Tonight, Lou Reed is playing opening night at Highline Ballroom in New York City.

Expect video tomorrow…
Austrailia has refused entry to the country for Snoop D-o-double G.
Apparently, because of his extensive criminal record, the immigration minister said Thursday, the second time this year the rapper has been barred from entering another country.
Who needs the MTV Australia Video Music Awards anyway…reference 4:20 post if you lack to understand why they may not let Snoop in.

The 5-piece Pittsburgh based band, SHADE, played Mercury Lounge on Friday, April 20th and this was their best performance to date…and I have seen them a bunch of times. Starting off their set with one of my favorite tracks, ‘Broken Ribs,’ from their newly released album, “Arms Raised On Rooftops,” SHADE had the crowd going from the first riff. From there, the show just got better with popular tracks like ‘Wide Eyed’ and ‘Jade Dagger.’ This ground breaking performance ended with full on jam session that had
the crowd in awe. I’m just waiting until they make the trek back to NYC b/c I can’t wait to see them again!’

Not much to say other than, I’m glad to see a few of my pairs in my personal collection made top 100 and I have a hard on.
One of the most underrated Hip Hop acts in the game, Clipse, performed last night at BB Kings. I have to admit, I’m a hip hop head but I rarely go see it live because it usually sucks and I’ve seen the biggest and best.
Really Tribe Called Quest is one of the only acts that is entertaining enough for the price of admission.
Last night, I was pleasantly surprised with The Clipse. I loved their last record, Hell Hath No Fury…one of my favorite tracks caught live below from last night at BB King’s “Got It For Cheap”.

US country music star Willie Nelson and his tour manager were spared a jail sentence yesterday after pleading guilty in Louisiana to possessing marijuana.
Nelson, tour manager David Anderson, Nelson’s sister, Bobbie Nelson, and two drivers were issued citations on September 18 after state troopers said they found marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms on his tour bus during a commercial vehicle inspection.
State District Judge Paul deMahy fined Nelson and Anderson $US1,024 ($A1,232) each and put both on six months probation. As part of a plea agreement, the citation against Bobbie Nelson was dismissed, The St Martinville Advocate reported.
St Martin Parish Assistant District Attorney Chester Cedars said he dismissed the citations against the two drivers because there was no indication they “had anything to do with the contraband”.
Word that Nelson was in the small southern Louisiana town quickly spread, and about 25 fans gathered outside the court to wait for the entertainer after his brief appearance. Nelson obliged, shaking hands, signing scraps of paper and posing for photographs.
“Thank y’all,” he said, waving as he climbed into a waiting car.
