What do you get when you put together Albert Hammond, Jr. [the Strokes], Josh Latanzi [Ben Kweller’s bassist on tour], Steve Schiltz [Longwave's frontman], Matt Romano [Strokes drum Tech], and Marc Philippe Eskenazi [Medium Cool]. One hell of a rock show. This record can stand on it’s own but it may be even better live. It’s true and well known I have a weak spot for the Strokes (and I’ll even say the same for Longwave) however this only makes me more critical on Albert’s band. As my friends will joke it’s my typical statement when I enjoy a live band but these guys, “KILL IT”, at times reminiscent of the Beach Boys. It would be easy for me to say that, “they’re okay” and then ask when the Strokes are going to record new material and start touring again but honestly, I can wait if this is why I’m waiting…see video and set list below.
