Silversun Pickups, Ok Go and Snow Patrol all graced the stage at Madison Square Garden (Theater) which for those of you who don’t live in the tri-state area is similar to dinner theater without well, dinner.

Silversun Pickups

This show was one of the few shows in recent times where I felt my money didn’t go to waste on an opener as the bill held up to the ticket price. However, being backwards as I am I was most excited about Silversun Pickups than I was Snow Patrol, guess I wasn’t feeling suicidal nor was it raining.

March 8th, 2007: Anti-Flag played at Irving Plaza by vicariousmusic

Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello and Anti-Flag recently joined political views on stage during the encore of their March 8th, 2007 show at Irving Plaza in Gotham. They performed the entirety of Woody Guthrie’s often misunderstood folk song, “This Land Is Your Land.” Previously working on their final Fat release, The Terror State, when I saw Tom walk in I thought there was a good chance these outspoken rockers would rock the stage together.

Irving Berlin’s “God Bless America” inspired Guthrie to write “This Land Is Your Land” in protest because he felt Berlin’s song was half-baked and egoistical.
